The Songbird 8 week challenge is officially completed…in 9 weeks. The last one took me a little extra contemplation. So now it is time for voting! I want to know what your favorite four are of the bunch, and then I will record them with the band. Drums, upright bass, and banjo will be added! A Songbird Challenge CD with all eight tracks and three mystery tracks will be available at The Juniper Trees show on Feb 11th at The Laughing Goat in Boulder, CO.
Also, we will have a live video webcast of our show at a private party on December 30th. It will be free to watch, so stay tuned for more information about that.
Last, but not least, I have made a decision about whether or not to continue the Songbird Challenge. My decision is yes. I have never felt more inspired musically than making music specifically to send to people. My recording skills are moving along at a snails pace and I am really enjoying the whole process. My inspiration from the Songbird Challenge is why I included the picture of the Aurora Borealis. Such a beautiful natural phenomenon. What is your inspiration?
